After returning to my hotel room, I had a closer look at some of the items placed in a basket near the basin in the bathroom. First I thought it was some kind of toiletries, but then I realized that one of the things was actually a condom with a built-in vibrator!!! I’m not prissy, but seriously…. in my bathroom!! There was also another package with the text ”Like fire to one’s heart’s content”. That doesn’t sound like shampoo or conditioner either. Maybe I should add that this is a nice 4-star hotel.
China, you are stranger than I thought.
Or how about a bottle of Evian for 48 yuan (almost $ 8)?

I’ll pass on the “fire to my heart’s content”; it has already been blazing hot in Paris the past days. And the storm is already brewing in the background.
Worst thing is that it probably wouldn’t have been there, if nobody buys it…

Oh Mitzie I was just thinking about you guys and you pop in for a visit at my virtual place, so cool. This is really very funny. I am laughing right now. My background is in marketing/PR/advertising so I am particularily fascinated by the “interesting” items found in your room. I’m trying to imagine the PR people sitting around a table and coming up with the “right” items to include in the toiletry section of this 4-star establishment! Really too bizarre and funny!
Yes, you really wonder what the thoughts behind this were….Maybe they did a survey, investigating what most people wanted in their hotel room, before they decided on the items? In that case, it’s even stranger..
